Thanksgiving Sunday for the nihil obstat

On Sunday 22 September, we were invited by our archbishop, Monsignor Jérôme Beau, to gather at Pellevoisin to celebrate a Eucharist in thanksgiving for the “nihil obstat” received from Rome.

In a letter received from the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith on Friday 30 August, the Dicastery encouraged Marian devotion at the Shrine of Pellevoisin, stating that the message transmitted by Estelle Faguette :

“… is particularly recommended to those who freely wish to adhere to it.

… is likely to do a lot of good.

… is certainly good for the whole Church.

After a convivial packed lunch, Sylvie Bernay gave a detailed presentation of the letter from the Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith.

Bishop Beau then celebrated the Eucharist on the esplanade. The pilgrims then went in procession through the park to the cemetery, where they paid their respects at Estelle Faguette’s grave.

The day ended with a fraternal snack.

The rain, which fell throughout the day, didn’t stop the joy from shining on everyone’s faces.
